Relativity Theory and Refugee

This post is for critical thinkers and those who are trying to be less influenced by the media, I'll try to change your perspectives and shake your solid mental perceptions

"Refugee"

I'd like to start this post with a mental game.

Plese stop reading for a couple of seconds and try to retrieve now the pictures that have crossed your mind when you read the word "Refugee"

Many of us are still trapped in the old mental images of helpless refugees who are just pursuing a survive. When I say us I am speaking to those who live in Europe and partially in Germany. It has been already two years since the German shores had received the biggest migration wave in the human history. That was a historical moment and all media covered this story intensively. For many people, that was the first time to hear about the refugees and migrants and for them, that was a chance to start building up their perceptions about refugees and construct their associations based on what they are receiving from the different media resources including social media channels.

Now and after two years, we need to update these mental images, questions all our associations and reflect on our perceptions. By doing that we can change our perspectives and start acting differently towards refuge. a refugee who is no longer a helpless human seeking food and shelter but a refugee who approaching a promising career and a bright future.

We need to be aware that changing the perspectives is a long process started with unlearning the old believes before starting adding new ideas or believes in your mind. The active listing of refugees can definitely accelerate this process. Let them have the say and hear from them not about them. That what we are trying to do now in Helpu by not only listing to them but also involving refugees in the decision making process in shaping our next steps with them and for them.

so what has the 'Relativity Theory' to do with 'Refugee'? Actually the founder of the theory and one of the most brilliant mind in the human history was a 'Refugee'
