It's All about the Team
I have a short story to share with you. A story of a bunch of cause-driven individuals who come together to use the technology to ease peoples' lives. You can see in the photo the faces behind Helputeam. A team of beautiful souls forms 5 different nationalities who are located and based in 3 different Contents Europe, Africa, and Asia. In September 2015 we started to build up our team with one goal in mind that is to improve refugees' lives using mobile technologies. A fact that not everyone knows that the first 'in-person' team gathering was after more than a year of our kickoff. We gathered in Sinai, Egypt after more than 14 months of the vertuall and remote team working. Now and after two years of the voluntary hardworking, we did manage to launch our mobile applications. In the past two years, we got so many national and international awards and recognitions which we appreciated and considered as small wins. That gave us some motivation shots to keep our eyes on the solid goal of delivering help refugees through our digital tools. However, our real success will be manifested when we see humans are really benefiting from and empowered by our applications. I'm sharing this story with you today to look carefully at the faces in the photo and pray and wish the best for these people who are in there. And for the current team, I would like to remind you and myself that we have achieved an important milestone in our journey and now is the time to devote more focus because we are approaching more and bigger challenges. It has never been easy before and It will never be. However, I have so much trust in each one of you and I'm so confident that as long as we are persistent and working hard together, we will achieve our pursue.
