However, it is catchy and now you are trapped and you will read this memo till the end ;) First of all, Selbstverständlich is a German word and means "needless to say" and pronounced like zelbst-fersh-tendlich I've been thinking since a while, whether shall I share the following information with you or not. Whatever I assume as selbestverständlich for myself is not for the others and vice-versa. And The one and only solution, to break the selbestverständlich vicious circle, is to communicate.
